Job Description

• Conduct cell-based functional assays and support daily cell culture activities.
• Develop and optimize phenotypic, ion channel, and target-based functional assays to support drug discovery projects.
• Evaluate and execute customized functional assays according to project needs.
• Present project progress in R&D meetings, conduct literature reviews, and participate in the discussion and planning of innovation projects.
• Accomplish other duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirement

Education / working experience
• Master’s or PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with relevant industry experience may also be considered.
• Working experience in industry or GLP/GMP laboratory is preferred.
• Experience with semi-automated, automation platforms or medium to high-throughput screening is preferred.

Technical skills / Hands-on experience
We are building a diverse team with complementary expertise in cell biology. We welcome candidates with strengths in one or more of the following areas.
• Solid experience in handling a wide range of cell lines and primary cells; experience with advanced platforms such as iPSC, organoids, or organ-on-a-chip systems is a plus.
• Proven experience in assay development for phenotypic, ion channel, and target-based functional assays.
• Experience in protein production and stable cell line development (experience with GPCRs or ion channels is a plus).

Soft Skills
• Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin; ability to write and review experimental protocols, conduct literature surveys, and deliver scientific presentations and discussions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot experimental issues.
• Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and able to work both independently and as a strong team player.
• Well-organized and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced R&D environment.
