WECS, a groundbreaking joint venture between Walsin Lihwa and NKT, merges the best of Taiwan’s and Europe’s expertise to deliver high-voltage submarine cables for the green energy revolution. Our state-of-the-art facility in Kaohsiung is strategically positioned to lead Taiwan’s energy transition and is set to begin supplying reliable HVAC submarine cables for offshore wind projects by 2027.

This role provides a rare opportunity to be directly involved in the qualification and type testing (PQ & TT) of high-voltage submarine cable systems—one of the key technologies enabling offshore wind power and the global energy transition.

You will work closely with internal engineering and production teams, as well as international test laboratories and independent third-party witnesses, to ensure cable systems meet stringent technical and industry standards. Through this position, you will gain hands-on exposure to real-world product validation processes, strengthen your project coordination capabilities, and build expertise in an industry that plays a critical role in shaping a sustainable and low-carbon future.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Documentation

--Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for PQ and TT activities.

--Prepare PQ/TT budgets and obtain internal approvals.

--Create and update PQ/TT schedules and progress tracking reports.

--Prepare and maintain all required PQ/TT documentation.

Technical & Cross-functional Coordination

--Align test cable sample design with Design and Production teams.

--Coordinate procurement and installation of test loop cables and accessories.

--Organize jointers and installation teams for test loop setup.

Laboratory & Stakeholder Management

--Reserve and coordinate internal/external test laboratories and support test execution.

--Coordinate third-party witnessing and ensure timely test reporting.

--Support client witnessing activities for project-specific testing in coordination with the relevant project team to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
